Attendees have engaged in dynamic discussions, forging connections and collaborations that continue to shape the landscape of teaching and learning. As we reflect on these enriching experiences, we look forward to building upon our successes and furthering our mission of promoting excellence in education.

Across the Higher Education landscape, institutions are responding to shifts toward new ways of enhancing learning, teaching, assessment, and scholarship. Participate in this year’s HELTASA (Un)Conference by spotlighting your contextually relevant practices and scholarship.

#HELTASASET 22 delves into the theme of transformation and progression in higher education, questioning the return to traditional practices versus forging ahead into new territories. It challenges participants to reimagine, shift, and refocus their approaches, emphasizing the importance of embracing change while honoring the past.

It was a phenomenal experience (un)conferencing with you all. We are happy to have hosted, through the Remo platform, a series of important conversations about transforming higher education and being resilient, responsive and relevant in our ever-evolving Higher Education (HE) context.

We hope you enjoyed the virtual conference experience as much as we did. Technical hiccups aside, it was great to connect and experience knowledge sharing from a digital first perspective. The Central University of Technology team, under the expert guidance of Dr Ntsoaki Malebo, did a fantastic job of hosting, and brought to life a dynamic programme of rich dialogue and debate.

The Rhodes Conference Team, under the expert guidance of Lynn Quinn and led by Kirstin Wilmot, did a fantastic job of hosting the 2019 conference. Keynote speakers were invigorating, thought-provoking and provocative – to instil in us a sense of urgency about our involvement as academics in the knowledge and social project in HE.
