The PUAT, an Erasmus+ initiative that HELTASA is a part of, introduces “SDGs Off-Campus: Engaging with the Academic Community” aiming to advance the SDGs into Higher Education via innovative ideas and continuous capacity building. Higher Education institutions can benefit from having an SDGs Champion for professionalizing academic teaching to address the UN 2030 Agenda on sustainability.

As part of the PUAT (Professionalisation of Undergraduate Academic Teaching) Project and embedding sustainable development goals within university curricula, CHERTL at Rhodes University hosted a workshop in April 2022, which intended to probe this question with participating academics who are making interesting contributions in the area of sustainability and planetary well-being as well as social justice.

Frederick University, through the Professionalisation of Undergraduate Academic Teaching (PUAT) project, will be hosting a webinar on how the university integrates the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The webinar will tackle how the SDGs should be integrated into multiple academic disciplines and how an academic institution can be a driving force for the UN SDGs 2030 Agenda.
